Hawkins House of Horton was born in the heart of the pandemic. During a time when the world felt disconnected and uncertain, dance became a way for our founder, to cope, create, and stay connected. She began sharing dance videos online, and what started as a personal outlet quickly grew into a community. People began following, reaching out, and expressing their own need for movement, connection, and a place to keep growing.

What began with virtual private lessons eventually evolved into in-person classes as the world reopened. Recognizing the power of what was being created, Hawkins made the courageous decision to leave her corporate IT career and pursue her lifelong dream of building a life and community centered around dance.

Hawkins House of Horton began with a focus on Horton technique and has since grown into a multifaceted dance organization offering technical training, confidence-centered programs, teen development, and professional performance opportunities. At its heart, however, the mission remains the same: to create a space where people can move, express themselves, make mistakes, grow, and feel that they belong.

What began as a way to keep dancing through a difficult time has become a community where dance serves as a pathway to confidence, connection, artistry, and personal transformation.
